We take care to teach what you want to learn so music is rewarding for students of all ages and levels. Private Lessons Private lessons ensure that the student has the undivided attention of the teacher and can progress at a level suited to them individually. Suzuki and Traditional Lessons Our versatile instructors are trained in Suzuki Pedagogy and have extensive experience teaching students of all ages, learning styles, and levels of experience. You will find whatever learning environment is best for you at the Prairie Oaks School of Music. Regular Concerts and Recitals Recitals and concerts are held at least twice a year. These provide students with performance experience and build confidence. Theory Classes Theory and composition classes are included with lessons for all students of middle and high school age. These classes, focusing on the technical and creative aspects of music, add a vital component to music-making, forming better rounded musicians. Preschool Music Program (Suzuki "Jump Start") From the age of 3, children are exposed to the basics of music in a fun and supportive group environment. This program builds a solid foundation for later success in private lessons teaching essential skills for any kind of music making. Children's Choir Our choir gives children ages 6-11 the opportunity to learn vocal basics in a fun environment. The choir follows a low pressure format and gives a series of performances throughout the year. The largest music library in Central Wisconsin Our 1000+ title library of classical music on CD is available free of charge to all students of the Prairie Oaks School of Music. CDs may be listened to in house or checked out for a week at a time. |
