The Prairie Oaks School of Music is located on Center Street in picturesque Stevens Point.  In Marshfield it is located near downtown in the Marshfield Childrens' House of Montessori (http://marshfieldmontessori.com/).

About the School

The Prairie Oaks School of Music is the only program of its kind in Central Wisconsin, offering both Suzuki and Traditional lessons, as well as enrichment classes, including Music and Movement, and Creative Musicianship.  Dedicated to the potential in each child the POSM faculty hope to incorporate community outreach through music performances as well as civic outreach to encourage the well-rounded development of enrolled students. The Prairie Oaks School of Music was founded in the Spring of 2006.

Our faculty:

-Perform in the Central Wisconsin Symphony Orchestra (CWSO)

-Hold Master's degrees from university music programs

-Are trained in Suzuki pedagogy

-Perform extensively in the Central Wisconsin area

-Compose works for many different musical ensembles

-Teach university level music courses
