Central Wisconsin Symphony Orchestra (CWSO) Concerts The Central Wisconsin Symphony Orchestra, Central Wisconsin's premiere symphony orchestra, continues its fantastic 63rd season February 25th and 26th with the 3rd concert of the season, American Classics. About the program:
Close the door on the winter winds and warm up with Chaise Lounge, an award-winning band comprised of five of the top jazz musicians from the Washington D.C. area with the soft, luminous vocals of Marilyn Older. They will join with the CWSO in a performance featuring sparkling arrangements of standards and original tunes. "ChaiseLounge performs a blend of music that sounds like it was recorded at Capitol Recording Studios in 1962 and somehow found its way to today's pop charts." Also on the program are classic American favorites by Leonard Bernstein and George Gershwin, including West Side Story and selections from Porgy and Bess.
Come to hear School of Performing Arts directors Heidi Corcoran and Aaron Marx perform on cello and violin, respectively. Bring a program or ticket stub to your next lesson and we will send you a special prize for doing so! Concerts are: Saturday, December 3rd at 7:30pm & Sunday, December 4th at 1:00 & 4:00 pm (Sunday afternoon is a family-friendly matinee). All performances are at Sentry Theater in Stevens Point.
